Lunch meeting: How can Cohesion Policy best support the EU’s 2030 climate objectives?

25 March from 12.30 to 14.00

Leopold Hotel Brussels EU

Brasserie Leopold

Rue du Luxembourg 35, 1050 Bruxelles

CAN Europe, CEE Bankwatch, Ecologic Institute, ECF and WWF are organising a lunch meeting on 26 March 2019 to discuss how Cohesion Policy can deliver sustainable investments. In particular, we'll look at how it can boost the implementation of National Energy and Climate Plans (NECPs).

The success of Europe’s NECPs will depend on a major shift in investments - away from carbon-intensive practices and towards climate-friendly projects and measures. The next EU budget must actively support this transformation and the related investments.
