Has the EU made sufficient progress to protect our marine and coastal areas?

While an increasing amount of Europe’s marine and coastal areas have been designated as MPAs, only a small fraction have a management plan, let alone are under efficient management that helps to protect and restore our unique marine life. It’s time to switch from action on paper to action in the ocean. We must ensure that no European MPA is left behind as a Paper Park.

This September, join our high level panel to explore the actions being taken to protect and restore Europe’s marine environment in reference to the EU’s commitment to the Convention on Biological Diversity Aichi Target 11 and the UN Sustainable Development Goal 14.

Tuesday, 10 September 2019
15:00 - 17:30
Brussels Press Club, Rue Froissart 95

Refreshments and a cocktail reception will follow the panel discussion.
