Joint letter: The future development of the EU Taxonomy

WWF is among 28 civil society organisations urging the Platform on Sustainable Finance to maintain its ambitious approach in shaping the EU Taxonomy.
In a letter addressing the Platform, the organisations outline recommendations aimed at strengthening the role of the EU Taxonomy in directing financial flows towards truly sustainable activities.This call comes in response to the Platform’s Draft Report on Activities and Technical Screening Criteria to be Updated or Included in the EU Taxonomy. The coalition stresses the critical need for the Taxonomy to remain a robust and science-based tool that aligns investments with the EU’s climate and environmental objectives. By ensuring high standards and clear guidance, they argue, the Taxonomy can help prevent greenwashing and support a just transition to a more sustainable economy.
